With a multitude of characters to use, Injustice 2 looks to be one of the more explosive 2017 fighting games. Featuring some of DC’s best known characters, along with a few minor ones, comic book fans are in for a treat. Those that enjoy fighting games have had their eye on two unique characters: Robin and Doctor Fate.

The moment his gameplay trailer was unveiled, everybody wanted to use Robin in the game, thanks to his cool moves. Doctor Fate also took some fans by surprise, thanks to a wicked  costume design and his unique moves. Fans have been wondering how the characters would play in the final game and it seems like we know the answer to that.

Up Close and Personal

As expected, Robin excels in close-range combat in Injustice 2, which was confirmed by this video from Maximilan Dood. The character has proven to be a combo machine and could be a favorite in the online scene once the game comes out. He looks like a really fun character to use and experts should have a fun time trying to master the “Boy Wonder.”

It will be interesting to see how Robin compares to his Batman, who still has a number of moves and combos from the first game. Since a number of his attacks are new, expect fans to side with Robin when the game comes out this May. He looks and moves like a top-tier character, but we will have to wait and see if he’s as good as the videos he’s in.

Death From Afar

To the surprise of no one, Doctor Fate likes to do his fighting from afar in Injustice 2, making him similar to Sinestro in the first game. His gameplay video only ever had a few close-range moves, but he should be a force to be reckoned with when he’s far. Fans might get annoyed fighting the character, since range attacks can lead to cheap strategies.

Deadshot is also a long-range character, so it will be interesting to see which of these two players will prefer. Those that enjoyed the Suicide Squad film will probably want to use Deadshot, while Fate is someone a DC enthusiast will want to use. Other characters with long-range possibilities include Blue Beetle, Green Arrow and Cyborg to name a few.

Injustice 2 is slated for a May 16 release on PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game nets players Darkseid as a bonus. More DLC characters are planned for the game.
