NetherRealm Studios is currently silent about an Injustice 2 PC version even as the game’s release date closes in. So far, the only hint of a possible PC release is a statement from NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon at San Diego Comic Con last year. The studio previously also had a bad record as of the Mortal Kombat and Injustice ports.
Injustice 2 PC release
Currently, Injustice 2 is only slated to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS platforms. Similar to the first Injustice entry, the console version will be a fighting game and the mobile version will be swipe-based card fighting game. No official release has been confirmed for an Injustice 2 PC release, but it’s not impossible.
“PC Port Likely”
Boon announced at San Diego Comic Con 2016 that an Injustice 2 PC port is “likely” to be released. No further details outside the PC port possibility were released after the event. Fans can only wait for official announcements if Injustice 2 will ever arrive on PC.
Previous NetherRealm Studios PC Releases
NetherRealm Studios PC releases of Mortal Kombat X were considered bad up until the studio fixed it on the full Mortal Kombat XL package. Gameplay issues plagued the first Mortal Kombat X PC port which made fans avoid it and stick to the console versions.
Meanwhile, the Mortal Kombat XL PC port was able to solve its issues but it took months for NetherRealm Studios to make it a stable experience. Fans have already accustomed themselves to the console version and are less likely to pick up the PC port as they already have a copy. Injustice 2 players may fall to a similar case if a PC release is released too late or too buggy.
Upcoming Injustice 2 Releases
The official Injustice 2 site confirms the next character reveal this coming April 28. Currently, the Injustice 2 roster consists of 27 playable characters composed of main DC Universe figures. After the April 28 character reveal, the game still has ten more unrevealed characters. Potentially, these characters could be introduced as post-release DLC as the game will be released next month.
The Injustice series banks its roster through an event that forces heroes and even villains to take sides as Superman plans to conquer humanity to achieve peace. Players will be experiencing witty banter about each other’s identity and alliances as characters fight in matches. Injustice 2 features clashes between familiar heroes and villains with definite reason as the story suggests. Stay updated with more Injustice 2 news here on The BitBag.
