The road to Injustice 2 has been a smooth one, with cool characters like Black Canary and Swamp Thing revealed. NeatherRealms recently revealed that their next character reveal is on March 30 and fans are now theorising on who is next. However, there are a few guesses that are easy to make, since some characters were revealed in advance.
Scarecrow, Captain Cold, and Brainiac have all been revealed in different ways, yet we haven’t seen any gameplay from them. Brainiac is the game’s main villain and was revealed in the first trailer, while Captain Cold is in Grodd’s faction. Interestingly enough, Scarecrow was revealed for the mobile version of the game and fans got to see his finisher.
Feels Good To Be Bad
After the first game focused on heroes fighting each other, Injustice 2 is set to bring villains back to the forefront. That doesn’t mean the heroes will be getting along, since they’re still divided after the events from the original Injustice. However, there are definitely more villains in the sequel than in the first game, so the next reveal should be interesting.
One surprise reveal fans got is Black Adam, who debuted during the third Shattered Alliances trailer, which was Supergirl-focused. It’s doubtful that we’ll be seeing a gameplay trailer for the Shazam villain, though DC might want to focus on his move-set. Cheetah was given a trailer after debuting in a trailer that spotlighted the game’s female characters, so anyone is possible.
Back To The Leaks?
As more characters get revealed for Injustice 2, it feels like the leak that came out is becoming more legitimate. Fans could simply go back to the leak list if they want to see who else will get announced for the game. Brainiac, Captain Cold and Scarecrow are easy bets, since they haven’t been given any gameplay time outside of the mobile title.
One character that could be revealed is Batman’s arch nemesis, The Joker, who is also in the leaked list of characters. His character was killed in the Injustice comics, which set a chain of events that lead to Superman’s tyranny. If the character does come back, expect it to be an alternate universe version, similar to the Green Arrow in the game.
Injustice 2 is slated for a May 16 release for the PS4 and Xbox One, with Darkseid as a pre-order bonus. There are a number of versions that can be purchased, each one giving players specific goodies. The next character reveal will be on March 30.
