The Injustice 2 mobile release is a mystery many fans are hoping will be uncovered, since they wanna play it. Fans loved the mobile port of the first game, especially since it added characters that didn’t appear on consoles. WB Games confirmed it would come out sometime in May, but one fan might have uncovered the actual release date.
According to this Reddit post, the mobile game might be coming on May 11, five days before the console version. Most have assumed that the port would be coming before the console version, so this date makes sense. However, neither WB Games nor NetherRealms have confirmed this to be true, so this is pure speculation thus far.
If this release date for Injustice 2 mobile is true, fans will have five fun-filled days to play it. During a conference, a number of improvements for the mobile version were confirmed, so this isn’t just a prettier re-skin. Jump and duck attacks have been added for more depth, while the gear system adds some RPG-like elements.
Graphics for the mobile sequel are even better than the first game, which is a huge compliment. It seems like the positive reception of the first game will be making it’s way to the second mobile title. Players can only hope that the mobile release date is true, though the lack of any officiality makes it less credible.
A Good DCsion
Given the massive success of the first Injustice mobile game, it was wise to make Injustice 2 mobile. Only time will tell if the mobile game outlives the console version again, especially with nine DLC characters planned for release. That won’t really matter in the long run, as long as both games are enjoyable, they will get fans.
Scarecrow was actually revealed in the mobile version of the game and we still haven’t seen him in the console version. The Batman villain was part of a massive roster leak that has mostly been correct, so he could still be in the console version. His finisher was also revealed in the mobile version of the game and it’s a fitting one for the master of fear.
Injustice 2 is currently slated for a PS4 and Xbox One release on May 16, with Darkseid as a pre-order bonus. The mobile version has no official release date, though a fan claims it will be out in May 11. A tie-in comic is also set for release, which takes place five years before the game’s story.
