Injustice 2 launched a few weeks ago and the sequel to the 2013 fighting game released with a fairly big roster. The roster is going to expand with three Fighter Packs and it looks like the first one is set to launch soon. A new trailer showcases one of the main stars of the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1 and the release date has been set as well.

Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1 Release Date

The recent trailer features one of the characters coming to the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1, which is Red Hood. No exact release date has been set for the first Fighter Pack but according to the trailer, Red Hood will launch in June. There’s a good chance that NetherRealms Studios will make the first character available during the week of E3 2017, though that’s just our assumption.

Fighter Pack 1 Characters

NeatherRealm Studios followed the pattern of Mortal Kombat X when it come to post-launch characters, which is through Fighter Packs. For Injustice 2, there are three confirmed Fighter Packs already, all of which has three characters in it. The first one in June will add Red Hood, Starfire, and the first guest character, Sub-Zero.

The recent trailer showcased Red Hood and as expected, the popular character isn’t shy on implementing harsh methods when it comes to combat. In the comics, there have been two Red Hoods; The Joker and Jason Todd. Based on what we’ve seen, this is the Jason Todd Red Hood who’s a ruthless vigilante.

The other character is Starfire, which many know to have come from the Teen Titans. We’ve yet to see how she would play out in the game but players are expecting to see her Tamarian powers at full display in Injustice 2.

Since Injustice 2 feels rather similar to Mortal Kombat X, it’s very likely that Sub-Zero will play similar to his Mortal Kombat X counterpart. With Injustice 2’s new features, expect a few tweaks to the character.

Mortal Kombat X’s guest characters are horror icons which included the likes of Leatherface, Xenomorph, Jason, and Predator. For Injustice 2, the developer is going to add in Mortal Kombat characters to the fray, the first of which is Sub-Zero.We’ve yet to know who the guest characters are but when NetherRealms Studios teased the fighter packs, one of the silhouettes is obviously for Raiden so we can expect the Thunder God to join in on the fun later this year.
