It’s an odd day for Injustice 2 DLC, as Red Hood has seemingly been added via an update. The character was one of the most requested for the game, yet he can’t be downloaded as of this writing. However, what was more interesting were the mysterious DLC silhouettes that were put in the character select screen.

Some of the characters were obvious, like Black Manta and Sub-Zero, but there were some nice surprises in there. Unfortunately, the developers have since removed the silhouettes, though there are still screenshots of it around the Internet. As of this writing, it’s not clear if the tease was done on purpose or if it was an accident.

The DLC Silhouettes

Red Hood is the first Injustice 2 DLC character, with Starfire and Sub-Zero coming to the game soon after. Other silhouettes who are easy to identify include Black Manta and Raiden from Mortal Kombat, so they weren’t really surprising. There is also a really small silhouette, indicating that The Atom is in the game, who nobody expected to see.

The last three characters are harder to identify, though one of them could be Enchantress from the Suicide Squad film. Everyone else is harder to guess, though one of the silhouettes looks similar to the Sub-Zero one. Perhaps Scorpion will be added to the game, since he did appear in the first Injustice game as DLC.

Future Announcements

NetherRealm Studios will likely announce the next batch of Injustice 2 DLC characters after the release of Fighter Pack 1. Despite the fact that fans see him, Red Hood still can’t be downloaded, despite a prompt that says he is. Going to the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live won’t help, so it looks like he isn’t officially available.

Red Hood will be available in June, and it will be interesting to see who joins him, outside of Starfire and Sub-Zero. From the silhouettes, we can confirm that Black Manta, Atom, Enchantress and Raiden will be joining the game as DLC. Scorpion looks likely, but that’s only because the silhouette looks similar to Sub-Zero, so that could be a tease.

Injustice 2 is available now on the PS4 and Xbox One, with a mobile version also available on iOS and Android. Fighter Pack 1 can be bought now for US$19.99, though none of the characters are available yet. Darkseid can also be purchased, for those that weren’t able to pre-order the game.
