Fans waiting for more Injustice 2 DLC information are in luck, as Red Hood footage will be shown on Sunday at the Combo Breaker Tournament. He’s one of, if not, the most requested DLC character, so this video should please a number of DC fans. While there’s still no release date for the DLC Pack, the footage of the fighter should keep players excited.
Oddly enough, Starfire and Sub-Zero don’t have any planned videos yet, which might be due to fan demand. Red Hood has been in demand since the game was announced, so seeing him in action must be a priority. Here is hoping that he feels like a unique character, since the guns might make him too similar to Deadshot.
Solo Character Releases?
Ed Boon went to Twitter and stated that Red Hood is coming “soon” as Injustice 2 DLC, which is interesting. Boon could be mentioning the video on May 28, but there’s also a chance that he will be coming first. Since the character is part of a DLC Pack with two other fighters, this will be an interesting release method.
It’s not clear if this will happen, or if Boon means Red Hood and the other characters are coming soon. All three characters have to be purchased at once, so it’s not like Red Hood and others will be sold individually. More details will likely be revealed when the video comes out this weekend, so anything else is pure speculation.
Under the Hood
The Injustice 2 DLC should be interesting, since all of the characters will have their own set of gear. Expect some nifty equipment for Red Hood, Starfire and Sub-Zero when they come out, whenever that ends up happening. It definitely adds plenty of replay value to the excellent Multiverse mode, so the more characters the merrier.
Jason Todd was brought up as one of Joker’s victims in the game’s Story mode, so his inclusion is interesting. According to his profile in the game’s website, he was brought back to life via the Lazarus Pit. With a Killer Batman causing some mayhem in the Injustice 2 tie-in comics, many are assuming that this sets up his appearance in the Injustice universe.
Injustice 2 is available now on the PS4 and Xbox One. Fighter Pack 1 is included in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game. Players that didn’t order the two special editions can get Fighter Pack 1 now for US$19.99, though the characters aren’t out yet.
