It is probably not a secret anymore that HTC will be unveiling the rumored HTC U 11 on May 16. A few days ago, the company released a teaser video showing the official launch date of the said smartphone. While many have speculated on what the HTC U 11 will carry, there are still some unanswered questions about the nitty-gritty of the upcoming flagship. Now, a new leak somewhat displays the specs of the said device in all its glory.
The guys at Android Headlines somehow managed to get their hands on what appears to be an official specifications sheet of the HTC U 11. In the said leak, it can be seen that the phone is indeed rocking a Snapdragon 835 like the earlier reports. Furthermore, paired with the new chip is 6GB worth of RAM, 128GB of flash storage and a microSD slot capable of supporting up to 2TB of data.
To an outsider, these specs are quite impressive already. However, it does not end there. The HTC U 11 is also IP57 rated and sports a 16-megapixel front and 12-megapixel rear cameras. This may sound weird as most smartphones have a bigger rear camera sensor. Clearly, the new HTC flagship is meant for people who love taking selfies for their social media outlets.
Another thing worth mentioning about the upcoming HTC phone is the new Edge Sense technology. According to Android Central, the Edge Sense will work as additional inputs to the phone that can be programmed for any application that supports it.
Other notable features of the HTC U 11 are the dual nano-SIM tray, 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, NFC, 4G LTE, and HTC’s BoomSound. As mentioned, the phone will be launched on May 16 in Taiwan, New York, and London. For more updates on the HTC U 11, be sure to check us out at TheBitbag.
