HTC appears to be having a hard time in warding off leaks about their upcoming devices. That trend continues as rumored photos showing the Taiwanese device maker?s 2015 flagship have been leaked online. This time, the alleged HTC One M9 images suggest that the new model will come with a gold version.
?Golden? HTC One M9
Habitual French tipster NoWhereElse.fr has posted the photos of the upcoming handset in gold color scheme. In those pictures, the HTC One M9?s rear and insides are shown. Upon closer inspection, you may notice that the inner side of the rear case is delicately crafted so it?s not likely that the device is fake. Having said that, there?s no guarantee that it will also be the final version of the company?s next flagship. You can check out the images HERE.
No dual cameras
What?s interesting is that those photos somehow confirm that the handset will drop the dual rear cameras sported by the current-gen One M8. PhoneArena noted that although the upcoming model has been leaked many times before, none of them show the alleged dual rear-facing main cameras. This could only mean two things; the handset shown in the leaked images are not the actual One M9 (i.e. fake), or HTC finally decided to drop the dual ?ultrapixel? cameras in favor of a more powerful single-sensor camera.
MWC 2015 launch
When it comes to other important specs, previous leaks told us the next major HTC model will reportedly be eqquiped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB RAM, 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, and will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop layered with HTC Sense 7.0 UI out of the box.
The HTC One M9 is expected to be unveiled on March during the MWC event in Barcelona. GSM Arena reported that the flagship handset will come in two variants; the One (M9) and the One (M9) Plus.
