There has not been a lot of information on the next smartphone from the Google Nexus project lately. While several new Android smartphones have been released in the past couple of weeks, Google has stood quiet about the Nexus 2016. While only rumors have been surfacing that Google has tapped HTC as the next manufacturer for the next Nexus smartphone, a recent concept image may give Nexus fans a glimpse of what they could possibly expect from Google this year.
According to Concept-Phones, the HTC Nexus 2016 concept created by Dmitry Stvolov shows off the smartphone having a clean and crisp design with the traditional Nexus branding on the back panel. At the bottom of the back of the phone the HTC branding can likewise be seen.
When it comes to the specs of the HTC Nexus 2016, the concept lists it as having a 5.2-inch display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The same report also provides that it would sport a 3200 mAh battery with USB Type C fast charging capabilities.
The HTC Nexus 2016 concept has a 12.3-megapixel rear camera while an 8-megapixel shooter can be used by users to take selfies. The report also states that the processor for the concept smartphone is the Snapdragon 820 although it cites that by the time the phone will be released it there could already be a new processor that would be available.
According to a report from Know Your Mobile, HTC could be making two smartphones for the Google Nexus project in 2016 so if that is the case the concept phone above will just be one of the two offerings from the Taiwanese phone manufacturer. If the HTC Nexus 2016 concept is any sign, the upcoming Nexus smartphone could be one of the best handsets of the year. ?Make sure you check back here soon to find out more about the HTC Nexus 2016 and other great Android smartphones.
