A new phablet model is rumored to emerge from the labs of HTC soon. The device, which is reportedly called HTC Hima Ace Plus, might be furnished with a powerful camera and a fast processor. Learn more about it below.

The source

This news came from a recent report posted by a Portuguese website called 4G News. The HTC Hima Ace Plus is said to be the larger sibling of another rumored device, the 5-inch HTC M9. Given the handset?s alleged specs, which we will tackle below, it may be the Taiwan-based device maker?s next flagship model to compete with other phablets like the Ascend Mate 7 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

HTC Hima Ace Plus specs

According to 4G News? source, the rumored device will sport a main camera that flaunts a 20-megapixel sensor and a 4MP UltraPixel front snapper. The display measures 5.5 inches and sports a QHD resolution (1440×2560 pixels). Those powerful specs will be partnered with an equally powerful 2.3 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor that works with a generous 3GB worth of RAM.

Android 5.0 Lollipop topped with HTC?s Sense 7.0 UI will run the handset out of the box. The report further mentioned that the HTC Hima Ace Plus will be furnished with a fingerprint scanner and BoomSound speakers on the top and bottom part just like other recent HTC models. To keep things up and running, a 3,000 mAh battery is included.

Availability

While the Portuguese site?s source mentioned a lot of things about the upcoming phablet, we should really take it with a huge grain of salt as various other HTC leaks and rumors have proven to be inaccurate. But if the company really intends to release the HTC Hima Ace Plus model described above, we can expect that it wouldn?t be introduced at the MWC 2015 event this March as the source have pointed out that the company plans to unveil it around August or September.
