Recent leaked specs and release date for the HTC Desire A55 plus a rumor about the HTC Hima Ace being cancelled

When it comes to smartphones, there are a few manufacturers out there that really stand out to the crowd like Samsung with their Galaxy flagships, Apple and their iPhones, Sony with their cool Xperia phones and HTC.

Specs and release dates rumors/leaks are pretty much common in the mobile world. However, as for the cancellation of a flagship, well, it?s pretty much surprising to be honest. You don?t get that too often compared to the other details that can be leaked.

HTC Hima Ace being cancelled rumor

On a report made by trustedreviews, it was said there that the HTC Hima Ace is now being cancelled and they are going to replace it with the HTC Desire A55!

This rumor was first posted by @upleaks and claims that the HTC Hima Ace is now being cancelled but recent tweet from that account suggests that HTC Hima Ace is not really ?cancelled?; they only changed the model name for that flagship to A55.

Here are the leaked specs for the HTC Desire A55 according to a post on upleaks:

  • For the processor, it was leaked that HTC Desire A55 is going to be the MediaTek MT6795 octa-core 64-bit chipset with a speed of 2.0GHz
  • It has a 5.5-inch WQHD Display
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB ROM for you to store all your media files, Apps and Documents
  • As for the Camera, HTC Desire A55 is going to have a 20MP back camera with LED flash
  • While the front camera is at 13MP or 4MP
  • BoomSound feature so you won?t have to say ?turn the music up please? anymore
  • Bluetooth 4.1 for faster wireless file transfer
  • Less than 3000mAh Battery
  • Android 5.0 or also known as the Android Lollipop
  • Desire Sense 7.0
  • Available colors for this flagship are White Rose Gold, Gray and Brown Gold

The launch date of HTC Desire A55 was also leaked on that source and as stated, it will be launched this February 2015. Sadly, the actual release date was not yet revealed.
