While the?HP Elite X3 is already retailing in the U.K and Australia, this Windows 10-powered smartphone will reportedly be made available on September 5 in the U.S. On this day, the device can be purchased online from HP?s official website. However, there is no news about when this handset would hit the store shelves.
According to?Windows Central, the HP Elite X3 release date has been confirmed by a company spokesperson. Also, this handset already has a price tag of $699 specific to the U.S. model. HP will also be offering a device bundle for $799, where the buyers can take home a free desk dock and a premium headset along with the device.
As for specifications, the HP Elite X3 features a big 6.0-inch display, complemented by a QHD screen resolution. Under the hood, without any surprise, Qualcomm?s Snapdragon 820 SoC powers the smartphone, which works in tandem with a quad-core processor running at 1.6GHz.
It is worth noting that Qualcomm recently launched an?interim successor dubbed Snapdragon 821. This chipset was expected to power the latest?Galaxy Note 7. However, upon launch, it?s crystal clear that the Note device also uses the same SD820.
Furthermore, this handset comes equipped with a solid 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage space. HP has housed a microSD card slot to help expand the memory by up to 2TB.
Camera-wise, there is a 16MP rear-facing sensor and an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. It?s interesting to note that, last year, the norm for the selfie-clicker was 5MP and this year, it?s become 8MP generously.
To top it all off, the tech giant has housed a very-generous 4,150mAh non-removable battery unit in the HP Elite X3. In fact, the?Pokemon GO fans should check out this device as it offers much better battery life than the currently-available devices.
