With the Hellfire Ring and Hellfire Amulet already making waves on players? wants/needs list on Diablo 3 RoS, Infernal Machine Keys have become even more important.
Players want that extra passive skill from the Amulet and the extra experience from the Ring. Not to mention that you get to feel like an elite with lava on the ground for a few seconds. Take that, all you Desecrator Elites! Ahem. Please excuse my vindictiveness.
But what do the keys have to do with the Hellfire Ring and Hellfire Amulet? The keys get you into the Uber Bosses realms where you can fight more than one super elite boss at one time, optimizing your farming time for Hellfire materials.
All the materials for the Hellfire gear come from the top bosses. Going through the game again and again or praying to the bounty gods isn?t a very efficient way to farm the materials so it?s better to farm keys and go through the bosses in the realms until you get all the materials.
So how do you get the keys? Here?s the official way by fighting these bosses to get the keys:
The Key of Bones is dropped by Odeg the Keywarden in Act I – Fields of Misery.
The Key of Gluttony is dropped by Sokahr the Keywarden in Act II – Dahlgur Oasis.
The Key of War is dropped by Xah’Rith the Keywarden in Act III – Stonefort.
The Key of Evil is dropped by Nekarat the Keywarden in Act IV – Silver Spire Level 1
But something from the Blizzard developers has come up that shows Nekarat can actually drop all the keys aside from his own key.?That bugger, he’s been hoarding! So instead of farming each Keywarden for the keys, I think it?s better to concentrate on Nekarat. Here?s another way to farm the Infernal Machine Keys in Diablo 3 RoS:
1. Turn up your game to at least Torment 1. You get a 25% better chance to get the keys while jacking it all the way up to T6 gets you a 50% chance.
2, Reset the game to the Prime Evil quest then go to the Crystal Colonnade. Then, make your way to the end of the Silver Spire?s 1st level. This opens up a portal so you can just keep going back to farm.
3. Find Nekarat. Fight him for the keys and when he doesn?t drop any, simply reset the game to the Prime Evil quest and repeat.
What?s great about good old Neka-chan is that his is the smallest map so you can find him quite easily and the portal to get to him is pretty accessible. ?Since he drops the other keys independently from his usual key drop, your farming for his key isn?t interfering with farming other keys.
So there you have it, start your Diablo 3 RoS farming with Nekarat now so when Patch 2.1 goes live and the Hellfire Amulet is available you have all the materials you need.
