Ubisoft?s upcoming hack and slash title, For Honor, is shaping up to be one of the most exciting multiplayer titles coming out next year. Aside from its team-based action, the game will also have a single-player campaign for those that opt to play on their own. Here?s everything we know so far about the For Honor single-player campaign.
In an email sent out to PCGamesN, Ubisoft confirmed that even the For Honor single-player campaign will require an online connection. This is kind of a surprise as the game?s Steam and uPlay descriptions state that the game has an offline campaign. Ubisoft explained why the game is an online-only experience. ?Some elements of progression, which is hosted online, are shared across story and multiplayer modes. Players will need to be connected to the Internet at all times to play For Honor,? says Ubisoft.
The For Honor single-player campaign will serve as a deeper look into the war among the Samurais, Vikings and Knights. It might also serve as a good introduction before playing with and against others online as the campaign will teach players the basics of the game.
In the campaign, players will be using specific classes for each of the faction. For The Chosen, players will use an Orochi. Players will use a Warden for The Legion, . For The Warborn, players will use a Raider. Each of the chapters in the campaign will ?reveal the mystery behind the warring factions.
The campaign will allow players to experience the game in full without the worry of getting beaten by other players. There will be objectives to do including castles to raid and bosses to defeat. Additionally, players can also do the campaign with another player in co-op multiplayer.
