Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch Release Teased By Developer

Team Cherry has announced that “developments are looking well” toward making a Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch release. The announcement lacks details and vague but many Nintendo Switch fans are looking forward to seeing this indie game on the platform. So far, only the game’s physical release is mentioned in the tease.

As seen on Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight Update#60 on Kickstarter, the developers have been receiving many requests for a Nintendo Switch release of their game. Currently, Team Cherry said they can’t assure the fans of release yet, but they’ve also been looking forward to making it happen. “Team Cherry is often asked whether a physical version of Hollow Knight is coming for Nintendo Switch. In fact, the question keeps filling up our inboxes! While we’re not able to announce anything, we can say we’ve been looking into it making this happen, and things are looking promising.” said the developers on their Kickstarter page.

Meanwhile, many Nintendo Switch fans are alright with the potential physical copy release of Hollow Knight on the platform. Many indie titles have always been released digitally as seen on they’re usually available on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Live. Hollow Knight is loved for its overall quality which automatically wins the hearts of the fans. Other popular indie games like Undertale is also going to be released on the PS4 as physical copies.

Hollow Knight is one of the good Metroidvania indie titles out there. Players will find themselves doing platforming and fighting monsters as they venture in the town of Dirtmouth. It’s artstyle is a cutesy horror that looks eerie but not always disgusting when it delivers its unusual creatures. Hollow Knight’s Steam overall reviews (from 5,021 reviews) are “Very Positive”.  For now, we’ll just have to wait until Team Cherry updates us on the Nintendo Switch release.
