Hitman: Agent 47 Post Credits Scene Explained! Iconic Video Game Villain Makes An Appearance!

By on

A sequel to Hitman Agent 47 looks to be on the cards of 20th century Fox as the post credits scene teases an iconic villain from the Hitman video games.

The film has still to be released to the public but according to ScreenRant, an insider has told them that the end credit scene shows the actor who will play The Albino, the villain in the 2006 game Hitman: Blood Money by IO Interactive.

Despite the 2007 Hitman film being scathed by critics with an average of 14 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a sequel to this year?s Hitman Agent 47?seems to be already set in stone. Aside from the reveal of The Albino, 20th Century Fox is already exploring ideas for the sequel and the actor for Agent 47, Rupert Friend, is already signed for multiple movies, IGN reported. This could possibly mean viewers can watch a whole video game movie franchise similar to Resident evil.

If this year?s Hitman reboot becomes successful, we may see Agent 47 fight against The Albino in the sequel.? According to Screen Rant, Mark Parchezzi III aka The Albino can go toe-to-toe with Agent 47?s abilities as he is clone like Agent 47.

According to Cinemablend, the Hitman reboot uses the video game?s elements of cloning as well as the skills and appearance of Agent 47 (aside from not having a completely bald head). Those however are the only similarities with the game. The film looks to be dropping the stealth and blending aspects of the game in favor of high octane and explosive action sequences like in the Resident Evil films.

This may severely detract the fans from watching the movie. Based on the trailer alone, Twitter user Patrick Brennan seems to be uninterested in the game-turned movie.

Another problem is the lack of credentials of the Hitman reboot screenwriter, Skip Woods. Woods has had a had in the 2007 Hitman film (14%), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (38%), and the A-Team (47%), Cinemablend reported. These credentials doesn?t look promising for a series that plans to take-off.

Fox however may be taking a leap of faith that the sequel becomes successful regardless of what people think of the previous film. 20th Century Fox is rumored to push-through with a Fantastic Four 2 despite the reboot doing horrible at the box office along with a stinking 8 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was however rumored that a Deadpool 2 will replace a Fantastic Four sequel.

Here is the official synopsis of the film per IMDB along with the official trailer:

HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.
