Attention, ?90?s kids!

Your favorite football head is set to return to TV as news about a new ?Hey Arnold!? TV movie is in the works.

According to Variety, the TV movie?s storyline will pick up where the original series left off and will resolve unanswered questions like what happened to Arnold?s parents.

Part of the reason why the show is getting a revival is its continuous popularity in online forums, inspiring fan art, fan fiction and even short films.

Nickelodeon has named Chris Viscardi as senior vice president of content development for franchise properties who will review the network?s expansive library of original series and develop modern versions of these classic shows. This means we could be seeing other childhood Nick favorites like ?The Wild Thornberrys? though executives haven?t confirmed this yet. Viscardi was co-creator of the classic Nickelodeon series ?The Adventures of Pete & Pete ? and found Nick?s most popular shows to be ?very irreverent, and surreal and wonderful? and plans to be faithful to the show?s storytelling while still appeal to today?s audiences.

?We are very selective about the series, what we go back to, and think about how we can take them and make them special,? he Viscardi. ?It?s really important to us to be really consistent with the storytelling that was there long ago on the series but also work to reimagine it , even just a little bit, and make it appealing and thrilling for today?s audience.?

?Kids who grew up on these characters are now of the age that they are having kids and families themselves,? said?Russell Hicks, president for content development and production of the Nickelodeon Group. ?Our library has come to fruition and it?s time for it to start coming back to life.?

Craig Bartlett, the? creator of ?Hey Arnold!? will be writer and executive producer on the new ?Arnold? move and the creative team will most likely be made up of creators from older shows and younger counterparts who are familiar with the shows.

Though the network hasn?t mentioned a specific airing date yet, there is much to look forward to in the coming months as Viscardi said that there?s a ?good likelihood we?ll be doing more than just ?Arnold? in terms of doing specials.?
