Heroes of the Storm New Hero: A look at Rehgar

By on

Blizzard has been keeping busy with their development of their hero brawler game Heroes of the Storm, and now, they are introducing a new hero. The Heroes of the Storm new hero is named Rehgar Earthfury and he is an Orc shaman that comes straight from the World of Warcraft comic book series.

Blizzard not only shared a new video for the hero, but there is also a physical action figure already available on Amazon for Rehgar.

Rehgar Earthfury has the title of Shaman of the Earthen Ring and his description reads: ?Rehgar Earthfury has seen his share of combat, both as a gladiator, and a master of his own team of fighters. Now, having put that life aside, he serves as a simple shaman of the Earthen Ring, earning his redemption by healing the broken lands of Azeroth.?

He is mainly classified as a support type of character but also has high survivability as well as utility. He sits around the middle of the pack in terms of damage and complexity.

His starting abilities are as follows:

Chain Heal ? Shamans are known for their healing abilities that are fueled by natural and spiritual energies of the world. Chain heal is a healing beam that mends the wounds of its initial target before bouncing to a couple of other nearby allies also healing them for a smaller amount.

Lightning Shield ? Thanks to his attunement to the elements, Rehgar is able to infuse himself or an ally with the primal power of lightning that shocks nearby enemies for a short period of time.

Earthbind Totem ? The earthbind totem inhibits the movement of nearby enemies and allows Rehgar to control space in order to prevent enemies from fleeing in battle.

The heroic abilities are as follows:

Bloodlust ? Bloodlust temporarily increases the attack and movement speeds of Rehgar as well as nearby allied heroes.

Ancestral healing ? While chain heal can heal numerous targets at small increments, ancestral healing can be channeled instead to focus and heal a single ally at higher increments.

Rehgar starts out with two costume skins with his traditional shaman outfit and Ironclaw which is a heavy metal type of armor.
