Warner Bros confirmed the release of Harry Potter spin-off – the ?Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? in theaters on November 2016. However, the company made no mention of when will it find its way to the video game version for gamers to enjoy.
The first of the trilogy movies – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – will hit the theaters on November 18, 2016.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a book written by J. K. Rowling in 2001 sometime between Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which talks about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter world.
With the announcement of filming the book-based adventure, the stories will be set in 1920s New York, about seven decades before Harry Potter?s story begins. J. K. Rowling herself will be the screenwriter of the first in a trilogy, however, there is no mention yet of who will direct and who will be the cast.
It was just a few months ago when a Warner Bros. executive named CEO Kevin Tsujihara recounted in an interview with the press how he and J. K. Rowling talked about filming the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and how he convinced her to adapt Fantastic Beasts into a movie focusing on the adventures of Newt Scamander, a ?magizoologist.?
?We are incredibly honored that Jo has chosen to partner with Warner Bros. on this exciting new exploration of the world of wizardry which has been tremendously successful across all of our businesses,? said Tsujihara in the official announcement of Warner Bros.’ teaming up with J.K. Rowling. ?She is an extraordinary writer, who ignited a reading revolution around the world, which then became an unprecedented film phenomenon. We know that audiences will be as excited as we are to see what her brilliant and boundless imagination conjures up for us.?
It could be remembered that the movie version of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was announced last September 2013 where Warner Bros. also revealed the probability of spinning the movies into video games saying, ?In addition to the film series, ?Fantastic Beasts? will also be developed across the Studio?s video game, consumer products and digital initiatives businesses, including enhanced links with Pottermore.com, Rowling?s digital online experience built around the Harry Potter stories.?
