Harry Potter fans has a new reason to rejoice ? the confirmation of Collin Farrell as one of its casts only goes to show that Warner Bros. is getting closer into giving us our fill of the much awaited wizarding world.
According to Daily Mail, Colin Farrell has joined the cast of the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off movie, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The 39-year-old actor is the latest star to be added to the stellar line-up of the hotly-tipped film, which will also star Oscar-winning Brit Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterson.
Eddie, 33, will play the leading male role of Newt Scamander, while Katherine Waterson, 35, will play the female lead, Tina.
It will also be directed by David Yates, who also helmed the last four movies in the Harry Potter franchise.
Harry Potter New Movie Plot
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Colin will play the wizard Graves, who Eddie’s character Newt Scamander meets in New York about 70 years before the story of the world’s most beloved boy wizard Harry begins.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is one of the fictional books assigned to Harry and his friends while at school in Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry.
For some, they see the book as a way to satiate the demand of fans clamoring for more titles of everyone?s favorite wizard.
Author JK Rowling wrote the book complete with comments and doodles from Harry?s bestfriend, Ron, and an introduction from no less than Dumbledore himself.
It features descriptions of 75 different magical creatures found throughout the Harry Potter universe.
All proceeds from the book were donated by the author to the charity, Comic Relief.
Some are seeing this movie very much like a book ? a way to temporarily fill the void left by Harry when the last movie was shown in 2011. Little information has emerged about the movie, as there is little to no information about Newt except that he is ?now retired? and living in Doset with his wife Porpentina, who many speculate is the character being played by Waterson.
