It?s just been two months since the comedy duo Hamish and Andy have returned to FM to host a show but looks like the duo has already brought in good news for Fox Hit 101.9FM.
According to a report by Sydney Morning Herald, Blake and Lee were always going to deliver a jolt to the tight FM ratings contest – and after hitting no.1 in the last ratings report despite being on air for only part of the survey they have now shown exactly how big the full-scale earthquake is for their Drive rivals.
Blake and Lee surged a massive 2.5 percentage points to sit in front on a 12.8 per cent audience share.
That number – the highest FM Drive audience for any show in several years – put them 3.3 points ahead of their closest rivals, the Kate, Tim and Marty trio from Nova 100, who jumped 0.8 per cent for second place on 9.5.
The Hamish and Andy effect continued, particularly in Melbourne and Brisbane, with the returning duo lifting Fox and hit105.3 significantly and taking share from ARN?s KIIS network and Nova, stated The Australian.
Ad News?reports that the latest radio ratings for Melbourne saw 3AW still taking the lion’s share of the airwaves, with 14.3 percentage points in total people, a 1.7 percentage point boost since the last results.
After holding strong last ratings period, Triple J have seen a significant fall to now have only 7.1% audience share, a drop of 1.8 percentage points in Brisben.97.3FM maintain the lead with 12.5% share, followed by Nova 106.9 and Triple M in third spot.
In Pertth, ABC 720 no longer rules roost in the breakfast slot as Nova 93.7 knocked it off the top spot, taking a 13.5% share ? a climb of 1.5 percentage points since the last ratings. ABC 720 instead slips to third spot in breakfast, with 12.5%, while Mix 94.5 held steady in second place with 13.2%, the report further stated.
