Recently, Halo Wars 2 developers have confirmed that they’re looking forward to release the next Halo Wars 2 DLC leader this April. The first DLC leader, Morgan Kinsano, was released last March 21. Potentially, we may receive a leader from the Banished faction next month.

April Release

A 343 Industries representative replied on a Halo Wars subreddit thread that they’re planning to release the next DLC in the third week of April. They’re also planning to make the third Wednesday of each month to be their usual DLC release dates. Fans can expect more information about the next Halo Wars 2 leader DLC in the next few weeks.

Recent DLC Leader

Halo Wars 2 received Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Kinsano as their first DLC leader. She specializes in using units that have flamethrowers and can launch a missile that leaves a massive explosion on the map. Her strength might be for clearing waves of enemy units fast. As of Halo Wars 2’s story, she’s aligned with United Nations Space Command but was a former member of the Insurrection forces.

Next Potential DLC Leader

Since the latest DLC leader is from UNSC, we may get another leader for the Banished side. Currently, the UNSC has five leaders after the recent DLC while the Banished only have three. Notable Banished characters may be added as a leader in the April Halo Wars 2 DLC update.

Halo Story so far

At the end of Halo Wars 2, Professor Anders finds a Guardian and isn’t too happy about it. In the Halo universe, Guardians are large constructs that are used to keep worlds in-line through force if they aim to be a threat to others. However, the Halo 5: Guardians events reveal that these large constructs are under Cortana’s control. This familiar AI is now bent on achieving peace through forceful disarmament. Potentially, Cortana might be the next playable Halo Wars 2 leader in its multiplayer mode.

Halo Wars 2 so far

Previously, Halo Wars 2 developers confirmed that players will continuously get DLCs each month. Players can always expect a content update which can shift Halo Wars 2’s overall gameplay meta. Unlike the previous Halo titles, Halo Wars 2 is a Real Time Strategy game like the first Halo Wars entry. We’ll have to wait if this game will continue to get better as the new updates drop in.
