It might not have made a huge impact, but fans are looking forward to some new Halo Wars 2 DLC. Fans have been wondering when they will see new content for the game and what will be in it. However, thanks to a wishlist from a fan on Reddit, 343 Industries have confirmed two new leader are coming next month.

In a Reddit discussion thread, 343 Industries commented, stating that there would be two new leaders coming out in June. Not much details were given after that, but it did leave fans wanting more information than ever before. The game is one that’s been updated often, so the news should please fans of the RTS spinoff.

Take Me To Your Leader

The only known info about the Halo Wars 2 DLC is that the next upcoming leader is from UNSC. It’s unclear if this statement is for the two DLC leaders, but we should know more by June. Leaders are usually chosen for multiplayer matches, giving armies specific advantages to use in the various online battles. Some of them even had to be nerfed due to their various abilities, so the DLC ones might need tinkering.

The Halo-verse has a number of memorable characters, so it will be interesting to see who the two leaders are. 343 Industries hasn’t left bread crumbs for fans to follow, so we can only hope a reveal is planned soon. Having new content is nothing to scoff at and it should entertain fans of the genre for a while longer.

More June Content?

It’s worth noting that there could be more Halo Wars 2 DLC aside from the two new leaders mentioned. After all, there’s no official announcement for the DLC pack yet, so it could have even more content in it. Until 343 or Microsoft make an official announcement, we will have to wait and see, while speculating on the possibilities.

Despite not getting a ton of great reviews, the title has been gobbled up by fans of the Halo series. This is great for Microsoft, since the company is currently lacking great console-exclusive titles like the cancelled Skybound. Here is hoping that this year’s E3 has something for the company, which seems likely given the event’s big reputation.

Halo Wars 2 is available now on the Xbox One and Windows PC, with new DLC coming in June. A remastered version of the first Halo Wars is also available for fans that want the whole story. Halo 5 is also available, for those that want a proper Halo game to play.
