Halo 5 is not over yet as we got teased for an upcoming DLC on December.
At the end of the Halo 5 live stream session, the 343 Industries development team teased about a DLC. The upcoming DLC promises to have more content such as new weapons, armor and this also marks the return of Forge mode. The Forge mode allows players to create their own multiplayer maps with the use of pre-designed tools and items, this encourage players to showcase their best multiplayer map and share it with the rest of the Halo community.
Some of the weapons that will be making a return is the M41 SSR rocket launcher that will let do some major damage in multiplayer maps. The SPNKr, which is a massive gun, was also revealed at the teaser video. As for armors, the Mark IV helmet will also become available for multiplayer. The helmet however is not the exact helmet worn by Master Chief in the first game; Halo: Combat Evolved, which was launched on the Xbox in 2001, but rather a slight variation of the actual as this was being used in the Halo extended universe outside the games. The new black and gold weapon skins was also revealed to give more flair to players? weapons in Halo 5: Guardians? multiplayer.
Though the December DLC featured more of the retro gear that are making its return, it was not the first time 343 Industries made such move. Last week, they just released an update that added the favorite the Big Team Battle mode; which is designed for large scale battles and it also include four new large multiplayer maps to cater the BTB mode.
Halo 5: Guardians is now available and is only exclusive for the Xbox One, not details on the exact release date of the upcoming DLC.
