If you prefer to play tactical games rather than button-smashing fighter games, then this one’s for you.

Coming out this July 22nd is Halfway, a 2D Isometric turn-based sci-fi Survival RPG. For those who are huge fans of the Divinity: Original Sin, you will totally enjoy Halfway. It is a claustrophobic deep space action that will be coming out to Steam Humble Store.

The plot is set hundreds of years into the future. After colonizing few worlds, humanity is pushed back to extinction as their vessel has been sabotaged by an unknown race.

Your goal as a player, is to lead a small team of survivors in a violent invasion onboard the colonial vessel, Goliath. During your inter-galactic travel, Goliath will suddenly go black. You will find out that the ship has been taken over. You have to find all remaining survivors and take back the vessel.

There are many features that you can experiment on with this turn-based tactical game. You have a wide array of weapons at your disposal. You can pick up several weapons along the way. Other characters will join your quest as well during your progress.

According to a post by Robotality:

?We wanted to create a game that at its core was strategically focused, but also brought with it a distinct atmosphere. It was important to us to not just create a game, but to deliver a whole world with it. A world the player can identify with and would be interested to explore.?

Robotality released the trailer for Halfway. You can watch it here:

You can totally feel the seriousness of the game as even the slightest moves can totally affect the outcome of the game. Halfway will be out for $13/ ?10. If you purchase it during the first week of its release, you will get a 10% discount. Halfway will be released to Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
