Since the second season of the volleyball-inspired anime TV series, there have only been a few updates about the forthcoming Haikyuu!! Season 3. Here?s what we have gotten so far.
Haruichi Furudate?s manga turned TV series is nearing streaming its third installment. The season will be titled Haikyuu!! Karasuno Academy vs Shiratorizawa Academy and is set to be released fall of this year. According to an article of Movie News Guide, the show will be aired in October this year. Should its premiere be patterned after the second season, fans should expect its release in the first week of October.
It should be remembered that the main premise of the anime series anchored on the life of small yet terrible volleyball athlete wannabe Shoyo Hinata. Hinata is a junior high student who idolizes Tobio Kageyama so much. Kageyama is known as the little giant. This led Hinata to join the volleyball team of Karasuno High despite his shortness.
The main character will eventually be landing a spot in the team and will be Kageyama?s teammate. Reports revealed that the third season is set to show Hinata being a bit uneasy playing inside the court with his idol Kageyama. However, their relationship as teammates will soon prosper as they will be needing each other, especially during exams, which are necessary to remain part of the team.
Meanwhile, the official website of Haikyuu!! according to Crunchyroll has released an update about the forthcoming show. It announced that Susumu Mitsunaka will be taking the helm position of running the third installment. Mariko Ishikawa will be acted as the assistant director of the series.
On the other hand, chief animation directors are Takahiro Chiba and Yuuko Yahiro. Takahiro Kishida is assigned for the design of the TV series. Penning the script is Yasuyuki Kai while Hideki Takahashi will be the head of action animation.
