After a few months of testing, the GoPro Karma is now here. The new quadcopter drone possess a compact and sleek design. The blades are foldable for more mobility and easier storage.
GoPro Karma Features
The company, GoPro stated that they did not want to complicate things. Hence, the controls and menu of the controller are much straight to the point and simple. For instance, the user can set the Karma to go to one place to another, with just a couple of taps on the screen.
The drone also features a three-axis stabiliser which can also be detached. The stabiliser can also be mounted to a helmet or a vehicle. Furthermore, it can also be used as a common handheld capturing device.
The remote of the Karma also features two physical buttons. The first button will enable the user to start and stop Karma. And the other button enables the user to make Karma return to the original position.

The controller of the Karma is very similar to a console controller. It includes a live video feed captured by the drone. There is also a feature called ?Passenger mode?. It will enable the user to take images and videos without the use of the controller.
The controller of the drone uses radio signals and WiFi to stay coordinated with the drone. The drone can be controlled via the controller within a kilometer radius.
According to Engadget, who experience controlling the drone firsthand, it was very easy to use and an impressive device at the same time. Karma can be paired with GoPro Hero5 Black or the smaller version, GoPro Hero4 black.
Price and Bundles
Karma is priced at $799 or ?720 without anything included. However, there is also a bundle which costs $999 and $1200 that will include a GoPro Hero5 Black or Hero5 Session. The GoPro Karma will be available in the market in just a few weeks, October 23 (Images in courtesy of Edgar Alvarez)
