Google Gearing Up For The Oct. 4 Pixel Launch; What To Expect From The New Phones

Earlier this week, Google has announced its much awaited event for the Pixel launch. Dated on the 4th of October, the search giant has already started rolling out advertising paraphernalia to cities across the globe.

Australian cities Melbourne and Sydney received advertising materials akin to the original Youtube add released by the company. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, in Cologne Germany, buildings started sprouting advertisements with the hashtag ?#madebygoogle?.

Although Google is not really new to this kind of aggressive advertising, it seems that the main focus this time around is in the hardware. Reports suggest that the company will use the ?Pixel? brand instead of ?Nexus? for its next generation mobile device. Many experts believe that this is an attempt to go head-to-head with Apple?s iPhone 7.

For sure, a lot of previous Nexus fans cannot wait to get their hands on Google?s next flagship phone. However, for those who are tired of the usual Samsung-Apple battle, the Pixel maybe your best option.

The Pixel phone will come in two variants. The original Pixel is a 5-inch full HD unit while the Pixel XL is a massive 5.5-inch 2K display version. For ease, the specs for both phones are listed below;
