Google is yet to reveal its upcoming Nexus handsets. However, there is no shortage of rumors about the new Nexus devices. Recently, the specs of Google Nexus Sailfish have surfaced on benchmarking sites.

HTC is reportedly working on two new handsets codenamed Marlin and Sailfish. Marlin would be high-end device with top-most hardware configurations while Sailfish will be the smaller version of Nexus device. However, the specs surfaced on AnTuTu and Geekbench suggests that Sailfish will include hardware quite similar to recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

If the specs listed on the benchmark sites are true, Sailfish will be powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It will have 32GB onboard storage. The device will run Android NMR1 (Android Nougat Manufacturer Release 1).

Google Nexus Sailfish will be fitted with display with 1080 x 1929 screen resolution. The device will feature a brilliant 13MP main camera and 8MP front facing camera. With these, it cannot be considered as a small device. These specs will be supported by a 2,770mAh battery.

The price of the device will be affected by the actual specs of the device. It is not confirmed yet that Sailfish will include these features. However, it is speculated that Sailfish will cost around $399.

Meanwhile, Google?s device premium device, Marlin is supposed to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It will run Android Nougat as Google will launch both of these devices to showcase its latest operating system. The device could feature a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display. Both main and secondary cameras will be same as Sailfish.

Google is also rumored to be working on new Nexus 7 tablet. The new tablet could feature powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Nvidia Tegra X1 processor chipset accompanied by 4GB of RAM. Nexus 7 will have 128GB internal storage and massive 2TB external memory support. The device will support 7-inch display with Quad HD resolution.

However, nothing is confirmed until Google announces official statement regarding these devices. Readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt. Google could release these devices soon along with Android Nougat. If the rumors are true, then the release will happen within this month.
