New rumors alleged that Google Nexus 7 2016 release date will take place in May next year.
According to Tech Times, Google will work with Chinese manufacturer Huawei in manufacturing the Nexus 7 tablet slated for next year. Huawei was picked due to the success of Nexus 6P.
Earlier,?Phone Radar spotted a Weibo post from an unnamed tipster saying that Google is already working on the new tablet and Huawei will most likely to take the helm based on what the China-based company delivered through the Nexus 6P.
Industry experts claimed that the Nexus 7 2016 tablet is already in production and will be released in May, the earliest. Other rumors purported that Google will use its annual I/O Developers? Conference as its launching platform for the device.
Meanwhile, Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet specs and features will take clues from Google Pixel C tablet hybrid introduced this year. The device will pack the same old 7-inch screen display, but with better pixel resolution.
Under the hood, the tablet will be powered by either Huawei?s homegrown processor Kirin 950 chipset or NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor. It is worthy to note that the previous Nexus 7 tablet released in 2013 packed NVIDIA Tegra SoC. The device will include at least 2GB of RAM.
The tablet will surely run with the upcoming Android N operating system. The dessert name of the OS is still unknown, but Nougat and Nutella are some of the candidates.
In a Reddit AMA, Android and Chrome UX director Glen Murphy confirmed that Google’s working on ways to make Android a more work-friendly platform. Thus, it will make it easier for users to multi-task.
“There are many things, like multi-window, that we?ve been spending a lot of time on ? hopefully we can share more about this soon. We?re working on lots of things right now for N that, of course, we wish we had, you know, yesterday? But we?d spoil the surprise of N if we shared all of them. Split screen is in the works!? Murphy said.
