Google Nexus 2016 has been on the rumor mill for quite a long time. There are so many rumors around the upcoming Nexus devices. Recently, reports claim that Sailfish will feature a full-metal body.
There are rumors that HTC is working on two new devices for Google, codenamed ?Marlin? and ?Sailfish.? The new images of Google Nexus Sailfish has surfaced on the internet. The images show 5-inch Sailfish device with the metallic body.
It is also reported that Marlin and Sailfish will share same design, at least in terms of the material used. Both devices will share some technical specs as well. The main difference will be screen size, resolution and battery component. Marlin will be fitted with 5.5-inch display while Sailfish will feature comparatively smaller 5-inch display, reported Android Police.
Both devices will include a fingerprint reader at the back of the device. Glass will be used in camera module instead of plastic. These reports supports the earlier rumors that Marlin will be a high-end device while Sailfish will be a low budget device. However, nothing is confirmed until Google releases an official statement regarding upcoming devices.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Marlin will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device will support 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display. However, Marlin is supposed to pack a bigger internal storage compared to Sailfish. It will include 128GB onboard storage. Marlin will be powered by a 3,450mAh battery.
On the other hand, Sailfish is rumored to include a slightly less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will include 4GB RAM similar to Marlin. The device will feature full HD display with 1080 x 1929 screen resolution. Sailfish will include ?a 2,770mAh battery.
Sailfish and Marlin will share same 13MP main camera and 8MP front facing camera. Both devices will roll out with a preinstalled Android Nougat. ?
Other than the chipset and internal storage, both devices will be technically identical to each other as reported by Android Police. Reports claim that Google will unveil both of these devices within this month.
