The latest rumors suggest that HTC will make the device for Google. There are also rumors that HTC has started the manufacturing of S1 or ?Sailfish?.

According to Android Police, its reliable source has provided the information about the devices. However, the site has denied to provide the evidence. The source has provided the full details about the specs of the so-called Sailfish device. It would be the successor of Nexus 5X.

The device is supposed to be powered by Quad Core 2.0 GHz 64-bit processor however the manufacturer is not certain yet. The device is supposed to include 32GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM. Although the source has stated that the 32GB version would be the base model of the device, there are possibilities that the 16GB variant could exist.

The device will feature a 5-inch Full HD display with 441ppi density. The main camera of 12MP would be there. The front facing camera will be 8MP. The main camera will most probably feature an LED flashlight.

Another feature includes a fingerprint reader on the rear of the device. USB Type-C port would be there at the bottom of the device and 3.5mm headphone jack is expected to be fitted on the top. Sailfish would feature a 2,700 mAh battery.

Other than Sailfish, another device codenamed Marlin or M1 is also being rumored. It is supposed to be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. However, there are no other details available.

Moreover, there are rumors that Huawei would make the Nexus device. The device by Huawei is supposed to be the upgrade version of Nexus 7 tablet. According to Phone Arena, Huawei has already confirmed that it will make Nexus device for Google.

General Manager of Huawei, Charlene Munilall said, “The Nexus product is a very niche product? the techies love it but there?s a very small number of people that buy it. Hence Cellucity only brought 300? into the country?The operators generally don?t take up the Nexus device. That said, the distributors, our open market, do bring in the device, that?s how Cellucity got it? and that will still be the same this year. We?re doing the Nexus again this year, by the way.?

There are possibilities that the company could launch two variants of the Nexus device. Both are expected to run the latest Android N operating system. If these rumors are true, Google could launch the new Nexus device in August along with Android N.
