Nexus fans are waiting for Nexus 2016 smartphones for quite a while now. Since the start of this year, the Google Nexus 2016 rumors have hinted that HTC will make two devices for Google dubbed as M1 or ?Marlin? and S1 or ?Sailfish?. Recently, the TheBitBag had published about the rumored specifications of HTC Nexus 2016 Marlin. Now, the smartphone has been spotted on GeekBench benchmarking site.
Chipset, Storage and RAM
HTC Nexus 2016 Marlin M1 smartphone would be a high end device with superior hardware configuration. It has recorded 2048 single-core and 4969 multi-core scores on GeekBench. The specs of the smartphone has been also revealed on the benchmarking site. However, it is not certain whether these specs are official or not.
The device is supposed to be powered by Qualcomm’s ARMv8 processor, a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU.Speculations suggest it is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset as it features Adreno 530 graphics. The device is supposed to include up to 128GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM. The device will most probably run Android ?Nougat? as Google and HTC both have announced the ?Nougat? update for their current devices.
Display and Camera
HTC Nexus 2016 Marlin device is expected to feature 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The main camera of 12-megapixel enabled with LED flash will be there. The front facing camera will be of 8-megapixel.
Battery and Other Features
As reported earlier, Google Nexus 2016 Sailfish is supposed to have 2700mAh battery. The Marlin M1 is likely to include bigger battery to meet the hardware requirements. It is also supposed to include USB Type-C port and a fingerprint reader. Two speaker grills are expected at the bottom of the device.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Huawei could make the Nexus device for Google. There are also possibilities that the company could launch two or even three variants of Nexus devices this year. The device by Huawei is supposed to be an upgraded version of Nexus 7 tablet and devices by HTC would be the successors of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P from 2015.
