Google is reportedly working on their new Nexus devices to showcase its upcoming operating system, Android Nougat. Reports claim that the company will release the latest OS on August 22 along with this year?s Google Nexus device.
Google released the fifth and the final preview of Android Nougat in July. It is believed that the new Android Nougat is ready and will be launched before the end of August as predicted earlier. With the new Android update, Google will most probably launch three new devices.
Recently, Canadian mobile network operator, Telus Mobility, announced the update for Nexus devices. While several handsets will receive a security patch, Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X are scheduled to receive the Android Nougat update on August 22. However, Google has not released a word regarding the release of its new operating system.
If Google is actually preparing to release Android Nougat on August 22, it will most probably launch the new devices along with the operating system update. Google could release three new Nexus devices this year, which HTC made Marlin and Sailfish and a new tablet by Huawei, Nexus 7.
Marlin will be a high-end device with the top most hardware configuration. The new device will feature a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display. Marlin is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. A massive 128GB onboard storage will be there. Marlin will include a 3,450mAh battery component.
On the other hand, Sailfish will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will include 4GB RAM similar to Marlin. A 5.0-inch full HD display with 1080 x 1929 screen resolution will be there. Sailfish will have a 64GB onboard storage and a 2,770mAh battery.
Sailfish and Marlin will share the same full metal design. Moreover, both devices will have same a 13MP main and 8MP selfie shooter.
Meanwhile, Huawei?s Google?Nexus 7 tablet will feature 7-inch display with Quad HD resolution. The device will be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Nvidia Tegra X1 processor chipset. It will include 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. An external memory support for up to 2TB could be there as well.
