Google Nexus 2016 rumors have revealed that purported specifications and features of the upcoming Marlin and Sailfish smartphones. Speculations are rife that the Google Nexus 2016 release close at hand as the price of the Nexus 6P, from last year, has been discounted by $170 on Amazon.

In the recent past, several resellers on eBay started offering huge discounted on Google Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones. Now, Amazon has also started offering massive discounts on the 64GB and 128GB models of Nexus 6P.

The Google Nexus 6P is a flagship smartphone that was launched last year in October. It came pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. When it was launched, its 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models were priced at $499, $549 and $649, respectively.

On Amazon, the price of the 64GB model has reduced to $403 whereas the 128GB is listed for $478. It means that the retailer giant is offering massive discounts of $150 and $170 on the variants, respectively.

Speculations indicate the Nexus 2016 Sailfish will arrive to succeed Nexus 5X. It will be coming with features like 5-inch screen, a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Nexus 2016 Marlin smartphone will be released to succeed Nexus 6P. The flagship is rumored to include 5.5-inch screen, a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera, and 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 3450mAh battery.

Both the smartphones will be manufactured by HTC. The Google Nexus 2016 release is expected to happen in August. Both of the phones are going to arrive pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.
