Google Nexus 2016?s release might be happening very soon as another huge discounted offer for LG Nexus 5X has been making waves online.

The mid-range handset has received mixed reviews because of its value for money, with several techies advising buyers to instead spend a little more to enjoy more specs with its better version: the acclaimed Nexus 6P.

Because of this, LG Nexus 5X discounts has been promoted in order to be pushed.

Now, prominent tech site Newegg has revealed one of the lowest discounts for the said device. An ongoing flash sale is offering the unlocked 32GB version of the Nexus 5X for just $235.

Before you decide on grabbing that sale linked at the end of this story though, some would remember that the said price tag is not the absolute cheapest price that the device has gone for. Just last week, EBay offered the 32GB variant of the Google Nexus 5X at an all-time lowest discount for only $229.99. This saved buyers $169.01 from the original price of $399. Its seller ?Little Star Electronics? received 96.1 percent positive rating on eBay.

More than anything, the huge discounts on LG Nexus 5X further fueled speculations of the approaching release of Google Nexus 2016 smartphones: the HTC Nexus Marlin and HTC Nexus Sailfish.

The two variants rumored specs were shown in a recently released teaser. Both have 12 MP Primary cameras and 8MP front cameras and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS, Google?s recently announced operating system that will be released later this year.

There is a slight difference in the display of the HTC Nexus Marlin and Sailfish, as the former will feature a 5.5 inch 2K AMOLED display compared to its sister device?s 5 inch 1080p display.

However, Marlin will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SOC while Sailfish will be armed with a 64bit 2.0GHz Quad core processor. Both will have 4GB of RAM, with the former having an additional 128GB internal memory option aside from the standard 32GB.

The battery of HTC Nexus Sailfish will be smaller at 2,770 mAh, compared to Marlin?s 3,450 mAh battery.

Previous reports have stated that these handsets will be launched this August. With the discounted offers and teasers on specs circulating the net, TheBitBag will be on the lookout for the imminent Google Nexus 2016 release.

If you’d rather get the Nexus 5S instead though, you can check out the discounted predecessor here.
