Google Nexus 2016 is making headlines for its leaked features. The phone will have two variants codenamed as ?Merlin? and ?Sailfish?. ?Sailfish? will be a mid-range phone.
According to iDigital Times, ?Marlin? will be manufactured by HTC. This variant will sport a quad-core Qualcomm chip, a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM and 32 or 128GB internal storage options. There will be a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with a 3,450mAh battery. It will also pack a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2 and bottom-facing speakers.
?Sailfish? will have a 5-inch FullHD display, a quad-core 2.0GHz 64-bit chip, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with a 2,770mAh battery. You can also expect a rear-panel fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, bottom-facing speakers, a top-mounted headphone jack and Bluetooth 4.2.

Google Nexus 2016 smartphones will run Android N out-of-the-box. According to Australian Network News, Google has released three developer previews of Android N. The final version will be released in August. Hiroshi Lockheimer, the person in charge of the Android team, has posted an image on Twitter. The image shows him searching for ?Nutella? on Google. There is a big possibility of Google launching Nexus 2016 and Android N at the same event.
