Google Nexus 2016 release date rumors have been circulating the internet for months. Now, a latest update has revealed that the launch will allegedly happen by this October.
Based on recent data, patrons can expect the Nexus devices to be available late September or early October at the latest. This is after details were shared by Android Police‘s David Ruddock via Twitter.
The timeline for this season?s devices also supposedly won?t be affected even if the full version of Android 7.0 Nougat was released earlier than expected. According to Ruddock, the upcoming gadgets might launch together with the Android 7.1 OS instead. However, there has been no confirmation about how the 7.1 variant will be different from the current OS.
In related news, there have also been reports that the Huawei Nexus 7 tablet will be launched after Google Nexus 2016?s release.
Google has tapped HTC to build two gadgets, which have been codenamed Marlin and Sailfish. The 5.5-inch phablet and a regular 5-inch handset are intended to directly compete with Apple?s flagship iPhones. ?Google is positioning these devices as premium smartphones with excellent overall experience, in an attempt to take the iPhone head-on,? an insider stated.
Leaks have also revealed that Google Nexus 2016 devices will showcase premium build and elegant design. Its interiors will also boast of high end quality, with a rumored Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB of RAM. There will be two options for internal storage ? basic 32GB and premium 128GB.
However, reports on the leak pointed out that Google?s forthcoming smartphones will unbox minus the Nexus brand. In fact, it will reportedly only sport Google?s ?G? logo. Because of this, speculations rose that the leaked specifications are actually for the Huawei Nexus 7 tablet.
This means that Android patrons will look forward to not just the arrival of HTC Marlin and Sailfish, but the Huawei Google Nexus 7 as well.
