Google Nexus 2016 release is likely to be scheduled?in August. Android N launch date is somewhere in August. Google wants Nexus 2016 to run Android N. So, both Android N and Nexus 2016 will be unveiled at the same platform.
According to International Business Times, Hiroshi Lockheimer, in charge of Android, has tweeted an image of him searching for ?Nutella? on Google. This image has created a hype about Google N as well as Nexus 2016 launch. Google has said that it will release five Android N preview before launching Android N.
The three previews are released in March, April, and May.?The fourth preview was out in June and the fifth one will arrive in this month. After that, the final version of Android N will make its grand entry.
Earlier, it was believed that Google wanted to call Android N as Android Nutella. Recently, Google officially named Android N as Android Nougat. The search engine giant has also teased that the Android N launch date will happen in Q3, 2016.

Android Police has speculated that there will be two variants in Google Nexus 2016– Marlin and Sailfish. Marlin will be manufactured by HTC. It will be powered by Quad-core Qualcomm processor and feature a 5.5″ QHD (2560×1440) AMOLED display. The device will have a place for a USB Type-C port.
You will find a 12MP rear camera, 8MP front, Rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4GB RAM, 3450 mAh battery, bottom-firing speakers, 32/128GB of storage and Bluetooth 4.2.?On the other hand, you have ?Sailfish? which will be featuring a 5-inch FullHD display, a quad-core 2.0GHz 64-bit chip, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The phone will also sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with a 2,770mAh battery. A rear-panel fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, bottom-facing speakers, a top-mounted headphone jack and Bluetooth 4.2 are the other expected features.
Who will build Sailfish? No one knows the accurate answer.
