Nexus 10 was launched back in 2012 and Google did not release a new version last year, so when will Nexus 10 2 ?become available? Here are the things you should know about its release date, pricing, manufacturer, and specifications.
Android OS Version?
Google is soon to unveil the next-generation Android 4.5 in June at the Google I/O event with an expected rollout to Nexus devices by July 2014. Nexus 10 2 will probably run the latest Android version this year, same with Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 slate. If not, Android 4.4.3 KitKat will become the factory OS with eligibility for an upgrade to Android 4.5.
Samsung co-created the Nexus 10 in 2012 with Google, but reports are seeing both HTC and LG as nominal key partners as well for the 10-inch slate. HTC tipped out to partner with Google on making a new Nexus tablet for 2014 but did not reveal if it?s the 8-inch or the 10-inch slate.
ASUS co-created Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 with Google yet sales are not so impressive due to huge competition. And due to that reason, Google seems to have been forced to shift on 8-inch slates for better chance of grabbing a solid market share on Android tablets.
Both HTC and LG have histories with Nexus devices ? HTC made the first Nexus smartphone while LG manufactured Nexus 4 and Nexus 5.
According to sources, specifications of Nexus 10 2 are close to the previous generation except for the notable upgrades.

Google may consider Intel Moorefield 64-bit processor chipset for Nexus 10 if Nexus 8 will feature the hardware. Qualcomm plans to send out samples of their next-generation 64-bit processors in the second half of 2014 which could also be an alternative for Nexus 10 2. Hardware components will depend on how expensive they are for it affects market price tag of Nexus 10 2.
Since it is a Nexus tablet, Google won?t make it expensive to feature the device as an alternative to other flagship Android tablets. Some rumours say that Nexus 10 2 may get a price tag of ?299, similar with Nexus 5 or a little higher, up to ?399 depending on hardware parts used.
One source was able to take a quick snapshot and the price list for Nexus 10 2014 marks at ?349 per unit. Additionally, the snapshot caught ASUS as the manufacturer chosen by Google for the upcoming device. However, there is no confirmation yet from ASUS or Google regarding Nexus 10 2 pricing.
Based on the flow of rumours, Nexus 8 is the first one rolling out in stores after the unveiling at Google I/O 2014 with Android 4.5 then followed by Nexus 6 smartphone. Nexus 10 2 release date is expected to be delayed due Google?s current focus on the development of Nexus 8 slate.
Once officially announced, Nexus 10 2 will become available in the United States, Europe, Asia and Google Play Store.
