Chloe Bridgewater of England made it on the news earlier this weekend. This, after the letter she wrote for the “Google boss” got a response from the Google CEO himself. People across the globe know how a tragedy could steal every kid’s dream. However, the 7-year-old regained her love for life after seeing the Google office.
Bridgewater’s father, Andy, posted on LinkedIn and shared that his daughter lost a lot of her confidence when she was struck by a car years ago. But when she saw how cool the Google office is, she decided that she would work for the company when she grows up. She then penned a letter to the Google boss and Sundar Pichai himself replied.
“Dear Google boss,” her letter reads. “My name is Chloe and when I am bigger I would like a job with Google.” At her young age, she probably does not know how tough it is to make it to the company. But, because of the go karts and bean bags, Chloe now wants to become a part of Google. Aside from working for the company, she as well wants to work in a chocolate factory and become an Olympian in swimming.
Sundar Pichai’s Response
Obviously, no one would have ever thought that Google’s CEO himself, one of the busiest people in the world, would actually reply personally to Chloe’s letter. But, he did and it took everyone by surprise. “Thank you so much for your letter,” said Pichai. “I’m glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology.”
The CEO as well mentioned that he certainly thinks that if Chloe would continue following her dreams, she could definitely accomplish everything. Pichai concluded his message with, “I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! All the best to you and your family.”
Chloe’s father, on the other hand, cannot contain his gladness. He said in his post that being “delighted” is an understatement for the letter really means a lot to his daughter. Because of Pichai’s response, Chloe is now even more eager to do well in school so she could work for Google. Mr. Bridgewater also knows that the company is more than just riding go karts and sleeping in pods. So, Chloe should definitely study hard to become worthy of any position in Google.
