The dream match of the century is finally happening!
And a surprising moment has just happened, according to Screenrant, Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. has teamed up once again, this to build a cinematic universe where two of the movie giants will clash, and when we say giants, we really mean giants as Godzilla and King Kong will be pitting against each other in a movie.
Warner Bros. has already prepared a line-up for the crossover movie that will start on 2017 and ends in 2020.

- Godzilla 2 ? June 8, 2018
- Godzilla vs. Kong ? 2020
Director Gareth Edwards might return for Godzilla 2 after the successful first movie, he was given the opportunity to return, and good thing he accepted the offer along with writer Max Borenstein. Warner Bros. CEO Thomas Tull explains about the announcement:
?Audiences really responded to Godzilla. Today, I?m excited to reveal that film was only the beginning of an epic new entertainment universe. As a lifelong fan of these characters, I?ve always wanted to see the ultimate showdown, and today we?re pleased to be announcing that and more.
Warner Bros. and Legendary released Godzilla in May 2014 with an agreement to release Godzilla 2 on June 8, 2018. Both films feature the human Monarch organization. Shortly following Legendary?s pact with NBC Universal, Legendary acquired rights to additional classic characters from Toho?s Godzilla universe, including Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. This paved the way for developing a franchise centered around Monarch and anchored by Godzilla, King Kong, and other famous creatures.?
The first from the planned cinematic universe movie, Kong: Skull Island begins production on October 19, the movie will star Tom Hiddleston, Sam Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham, and Toby Kebbell, the movie will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts
