One of the most highly anticipated simulators that are out in the market today is the Goat Simulator. Surprisingly, it got a lot of hits since the past few months and is rumored to be having a box retail release in the next few weeks. How does a goat get so much credit like that?
According to sources, the simulator will be picked up by a publisher, Deep Silver. Deep Silver is the same publisher behind the Dead Island fame. With its success being continually snowballed, they might be able to pull off a great success.
In an interview with the developer of the said game, Armbi Ibrisagic, he did not think that it would turn out to be a major source of revenue for his company. Though he was anticipating that it would help attract more audiences for the game which is okay for him.
?Steam has been our primary source of income, so a retail version is nothing we planned or thought would bring us lot of income, we were more motivated in the fact that a physical box with a goat?s face on it is pretty funny s***, so we decided to go for it?, he said.
Well, he is not wrong, a box with a goat?s face is ridiculously funny.
?I think Steam will always be our primary source of income, but it might be fun for people to show off?Goat Simulator?in their game shelves at home, and we might reach a target group that we usually wouldn?t reach, which is always fun.?
Though popularity of the Goat Simulator goes way off the roof, players are still clueless of what the game is all about. Eat some grass, lay in the sun, and stick your tongue into something that would be pretty much interesting.
However, the retail version of the Goat Simulator will be available in U.S. only around Mid-July. Life is so mysterious while you play the Goat Simulator, so grab ?em and play ?em.
