Fans will be delighted to know that Gintama has a lot to offer next year. It is considered as the most anticipated anime series this winter of 2017. One of the things that fans can look forward to is the continuation of the anime series.

Gintama Season 8 is all set to return on January 2017. The series airs on TXN (TV Tokyo). The eighth instalment of the Gintama anime series will pick up where it left last season.

Gintama Season 7 premiered on March 2016. The finale episode of the last season was titled Farewell Shinsengumi. It showcased ?Kondo and his group leaving Edo. Sasaki?s life was on the line.

The anime series premiered on April 2006 through Tokyo TV. It aired a total of 201 episodes. The continuation of the anime series is set to broadcast starting Jan. 9, 2017 on Tokyo TV.

Gintama Live-Action Film Adaptation

Meanwhile, the trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Gintama was released. It features the main characters, which include Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura. Based on the trailer, Gintoki will go against familiar adversaries.

Fans can also expect to see exciting fighting scenes in the live action film adaptation. The plot for the movie will reportedly focus on Gintoki fighting off an alien invasion. It seems the film is going to be bloody.

The upcoming live action Japanese film is based on the anime series and manga series of the same name. The movie is under the direction of Yuichi Fukuda and Warner Bros. will handle the distribution of the film.

Previous reports claim that production for the film has started in July 2016. It was reportedly completed in September 2016. Gintama live-action film adaptation is slated to be released in Japan in 2017.
