A Gossip Girl reunion could be in the works soon following the 2016 reboots of Gilmore Girls and Fuller House.

The controversial CW teen drama ended back in 2012. Since then, fans have been craving for updates on the elite Upper East side clique of Serena Van Der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, Chuck Bass, Dan Humphrey, and Nate Archibald. ?

Lead star Blake Lively talked about the possibility of a Gossip Girl reunion while promoting her new action film, The Shallows.

“It would be fun,” the former it girl said in her interview with E! News. “We had such a great time doing that that I think we all would really enjoy that.”

Just like the show?s fans, Blake Lively admitted that she also misses Gossip Girl. The 28-year-old actress is currently enjoying married life and motherhood with Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds. The couple are expecting their second child following the arrival of their daughter, James, last December 2014.

However, the report mentioned how executive producer Josh Schwartz seemed unsure about a Gossip Girl 2016 reboot. “We haven’t really explored some of those conversations,? he admitted. ?I don’t know. We haven’t really thought about it.”

A Gossip Girl reunion would surely be a hit following the public?s reception on other TV show revivals, such as the 2016 reunion of Gilmore Girls. The drama ran in WB and CW for seven years and fans are awaiting its Netflix reboot. Even though the remake has yet to be released, the clamor from its loyal fanbase has inspired lead star Lauren Graham to write a new book which will include behind-the-scenes secrets from both the original series and the revived version.

An older TV series that recently got rebooted was Full House. After the original 80s family comedy aired its final episode on ABC over 11 years ago, the show was successfully revived earlier this year as an original Netflix series. Entitled Fuller House, the 2016 reboot still featured original cast members Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler and Candace Cameron Bure as DJ Tanner-Fuller. Matinee idol John Stamos was also a recurring guest.
