It seems like the Gilmore Girls reboot is coming to fruition. The reboot will make a time jump to the present day, roughly eight years after the show ended, according to TVLine. Stars Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Paterson and Kelly Bishop are said to be reprising their roles as well.
The Warner Bros. series Gilmore Girls that kicked off in 2000, and ran for seven seasons and 153 episodes. This is another chance for her ? the last four words for the sweet sendoff will be revealed now, and fans are excited. Netflix has not yet commented on the rumours but Lauren Graham, who played single mother Lorelai on the show, posted a link to speculation on Twitter and sent fans into a mini meltdown.
Sources are saying that Netflix and Warner Bros. have reached an agreement that will launch a limited-series revival of the wildly popular dramedy, reported Or Politics.
According to TV.Com, although the project has yet to be confirmed by Netflix or Warner Bros., reports say the revival would be set in present day and take the shape of four 90-minute mini-movies written by Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Palladino, who was an executive producer on the original series. Leads Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are expected to return alongside Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson, with the possibility of appearances by Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, and Matt Czuchry.
There is no word on whether Melissa McCarthy, whose star has arguably risen the highest since the show, plans to return, but if we all wish hard enough maybe that will happen. Just at this year?s ATX TV Festival in Austin, she said, ?It would have to be the right everything ? the right format, the right timing,? states Rapid News Network.
