For months, the beautiful chef and diet food expert Giada De Laurentiis has been hounded by rumors of an elicit affair with colleague Bobby Flay. According to some nasty news, Giada was the reason behind the failed marriage of Flay and his wife, Stephanie March almost five months ago.
But in recent interviews however, De Laurentiis shoot down the gossip once and for all: She is NOT having an affair with Flay.
During a sit-down with Andy Cohen last week, the pretty ?Queen of Easy Entertaining? began opening-up a little about the controversy. She has been very aloof with her replies about the alleged affair, and it was only this time that she actually said something about it.
According to this article from Delish, Cohen hinted that fans seem to want to see the two together, to which Giada replied:
“We’re very?good friends,” she said, “and we’ve worked together a very long time.” (The two are cohosts of?The Next Food Network Star, and have both been the center?of the channel for nearly 20 years.) “But I don’t think that’s ever going to happen?because?I’m smarter than that. I know better.”
This adamant reply seemed to have sealed month-long gossip about the two, and Giada had no qualms about addressing it now. News about the two were further flamed when Giada divorced her husband of 11 years, Todd Thompson, less than three months ago.
Not only that. The host also opened more room for people to talk about her as she recently admitted to finding new love. During her interview during The Wendy Williams show, when asked if she?s seeing anyone, Giada replied, ?I’m going to say kind of?And I will tell you this is the first time I’ve actually said that.”
People have been on their guard regarding the Giada-Bobby drama as there seem to be more into the affair. In fact, many are saying that it?s Bobby?s 28-year old assistant Elyse Tirrell whom Flay had an affair with. Giada on the other hand is said to be dating Today host, Matt Lauer.
