After months of anticipation, players will finally have access to the Ghost Recon Wildlands beta. The closed beta was played by only a select few but now, everyone can join in and try out the next Tom Clancy game. Here’s everything to know about the Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta that’s now live on all platforms.

File Size And Availability

A few players have pointed out that the Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta is now live across all platforms. On the PlayStation 4, the open beta is a whopping 21 GB file if players have the closed beta installed.

Meanwhile, PC players are reporting that the fresh download of the patch is 23.55 GB. As for the Xbox One players, are reporting that the update from the closed beta to the open beta is 20.8 GB.

So, why is there a large file size to update the closed beta to the open beta? According to Ubisoft’s email to closed beta testers, the Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta will have a new map that players haven’t seen before. A new province is also included in the open beta

While the update is already available now, players will only get to play the open beta on Feb. 23, 6AM EST. There’s still a few days to go to get the update ready. Considering the huge file size, players should download the beta test right now.

Open Beta Limitations

Since this is only  taste of the full game, there will still be a lot of things missing from the full game.  Although Ghost Recon Wildland’s Bolivia is expected to be pretty big and diverse, there will only be a part of the map that’s available in the Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta. The infamous glitch from the closed beta that allowed players to roam around the full map could be removed in the open beta to prevent spoiling details from the full game.

The next entry in the Ghost Recon series is pretty exciting and players are eagerly waiting for the game’s full launch on March 7. There’s a lot to dig into in the upcoming title, but the main focus is definitely on the sprawling open-world that Ubisoft has created. Aside from these, there are also a lot of exciting other features that players should be riled up about when the game launches.
