The Ghost in the Shell movie, through its official Japanese website, has just released its first teaser poster and it?s not even odd. You would think that Scarlett Johansson will not fit the role and it may seem odd seeing her on a Japanese poster. But she quite nailed it, based on this new visual. On Thursday, flyers were sent out featuring the ?cyber taste? image of Scarlett on the poster.
As early as November, the team behind the live action Ghost in the Shell movie released the English version of the poster. According to the Anime News Network, these posters have been on display in US theaters ever since. Last week, Paramount Pictures began streaming a longer trailer version of the film. This is apart from the previous live action trailers released for the fans.
Directed by Rupert Sanders, the Ghost in the Shell movie ?is written by William Wheeler, alongside Jamie Moss. The draft of the live action film is currently being enhanced by Jonathan Hampton of Straight Outta Compton. The main characters of the film include Scarlett Johansson as Major, Pilou Asb?k as Batou, Michael Pitt as The Laughing Man and Beat Takeshi as Public Security Section 9 founder and chief Daisuke Aramaki.
Interestingly, previous reports revealed that the live action Ghost in the Shell has announced its art book coming on March 2017. Insight Edition will release the art book, which is written by David S. Cohen. The foreword on the other hand will be contributed by Weta Workshop?s co founder Richard Taylor.
